What We Do.
At this time we are heavily involved in woodworking and wood turning. We have been busy making bird-houses and bat-boxes for school children to assemble and decorate. We are also undertaking furniture restoration and renovation and bicycle repairs. Once the weather turns warmer, we will be resuming our walking and cycling outings. We are also keen to expand the activities of the Shed, with hobbies such as art, model making, photography. Any further suggestions would be greatly accepted for consideration, as would people who may be interested in leading such groups.
Who We Are.
Beverley Men in Sheds is a charitable organisation set up to help combat loneliness and isolation in the community. Open to men and women over the age of 18, we provide a safe place for people to come together to chat, drink unlimited tea and coffee, make new friendships and relax. Our Shed is set in a large commercial greenhouse which is being turned into a community space filled with plants, a grassed area, sculptures and birdsong – an indoor paradise!
